How is this different from a backup server?

An online drive is for the files you work with every day — synced to your devices and shared with others. A backup server keeps safe copies of whole systems.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Team plans give everyone their own space plus shared folders, managed from one account.

What happens if I delete a file by mistake?

Deleted files go to the trash first, and earlier versions are kept, so you can bring them back.
